Leiden, August 9, 2011
From 30 August to 2 September exporters, producers and organizations of ornamental gardening will be presented to the Russian traders and consumers at “FlowersExpo’2011” exhibition in Moscow. At present there is noted a flower market growth not only in Moscow and St.Petersburg but also in other Russian regions. And according to Floor Schamp, from the Flower Council of Holland, the exhibitors are specifically focusing on this fact.
Thanks to joint efforts “Holland – the Flower Country” is powerfully represented at the exhibition by a collective display on an area of 450 sq.m.
The stand of the Flower Council of Holland is devoted first of all to consumer companies and events organized in Russia. Such PR campaigns as “Room Plants of the Month” or events devoted to Mother’s Day are aimed at stimulating consumers and trade. Simultaneously there is also a chrysanthemums promotion campaign “In Pursuit of the Golden Flower” organized in Moscow. The stand also features promotional projects on freesia and alstroemeria. Florists have an opportunity to get acquainted with a special site: MyMarketingShop which is also available in Russian.
Along with other florists from different countries Johan Hayusman, Dutch florist, will demonstrate his inspiring arrangements. Mother’s Day, commercial and funeral bouquets are the main demonstration theses.
Market Opportunities.
Floriculturists focus their attention on regional towns where the market is growing thanks to appearance of more and more flower growers. “Nowadays along with the market growth in Moscow and St.Petersburg smaller regional towns are rapidly developing. The professional level of floriculturists from Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Perm and Samara is steadily increasing. They more often choose high quality and a wider product range. And Dutch suppliers are able to help them in this matter. These are new opportunities of the market”. Floor Schamp representing the Flower Council of Holland on the Russian market notes that the Dutch export has reached a very important phase. “At present there is an accelerated development of distribution into large towns up to the Urals. Dutch traders are looking for ways of cooperation with local wholesale trade. Meanwhile Dutch quality products and a wide assortment are absolutely unique selling propositions which will allow the sector to benefit from growth in sales. The exhibition “FlowersExpo’2011” offers a perfect platform to achieve it.”
